Default Switching computers in midplay?

Ok
so I'm in the underworld soloing.
I just got kicked off the computer because someone else needed to use it for awhile.
If i log on with another computer would it just act like i lost connection to the server and let me log in to the same spot i was at on my other computer?

Im thinking no, because when people whine they get hacked they login alot over and over to keep the hacker from getting any further past character selection screen.

But why not just try it?

Alt F4 should(or did) count(way back when it was first implimented) as an invalid way to turn off gw's so you could infact resume play. If not pull the plug on the comp and that def will or the internet connection ^_^

If you logout the session will end.

Even if you change machines the IP address will change meaning that even if you disconnected and wanted to rejoin the same instance you won't be able to because your address will be different.

Not quite correct. Your computer IP will change, but if your sharing the same net connection (ie multiple comp's connected to a adsl/cable connection), your isp/net ip will remain the same.

Thus if GW is checking the net/isp ip, it doesn't matter if you switch comp's, your ip will be the same as long as your connected to the same network.

GW checks the account - your IP may change during re-connect.

But you only have 10 or 15 minutes to re-connect if you lose connection.

No, you can not join mid session for another computer. Doing so was what allowed for the duping of items to exist.

Actually, what might work, i havent tried myself
is to kill the game from task manager
go to ur other pc start the game and get the reconnect dialog

i KNOW that u will get the reconnect dialog if on the same PC
but i havent tried doing it from another IP/computer

by killing the game from task manager is same as if the game would just crash, so it will give u the reconnect dialog
